Much good work was done under Wezul’s encouragement Thursday night. More buy in and expression from all of us will only make us better. A special thanks to Paul for working with us. Bernard called up fond memories and got acknowledged for it! Listening and watching last night before joining to sing made me proud to be a member of this chorus. Let’s keep improving together. Our Christmas Show will be here before we know it. Mark December 10th and start working on guys to invite, Ads to obtain and tickets to sale. Until next week, KTTWS. SteveG
Gentlemen, we have a Challenge! We need EVERY MEMBER'S help to meet this Challenge!
o In early 2020 we had 24 members. In the past we sang well, and audiences appreciated our singing. Sometimes we even enjoyed standing ovations and no, it wasn't just for "The National Anthem"!
o Then Jimmy came along. There was a new Pastor in town! We now have 39 members. We are singing better than ever and continue to improve.
o At the Spring Competition we earned our highest score ever and second place!
o What we really need now?? New members - a lot more members! The more members, the greater and more beautiful our sound! We and our audiences all love to hear those Barbershop Chords Ringing - better and better with each new voice.
Our Drive for New Members/ Brand Awareness began this Spring.
o First, Wilbur came up with the idea of a two sided mailer to reach new members. Then we had several meetings to focus on how to proceed. Thanks to everyone who participated! Wilbur, Steve Wixson, Pete, David, Drew, Benny, Charley, Barry Owens and Barry Arp.
o More information will be shared at Thursday's rehearsal.
o For now, we need each member ready to actively join in and help us reach our goal of 60 members:
- Distribute Posters - Big Store employee break rooms, other stores, barbershops, physical therapy and chiropractic centers, work out clubs like YMCAs, dental and doctor's offices, libraries.
- Recruit new members - friends, relatives, neighbors, church choir members, work associates, and High School Music Departments. They don't need to read music. Whenever you meet a new guy, ALWAYS ask: Do You Like To Sing??
- Send Steve Wixson emails and phone numbers of prospective members.
Thanks Guys, see you Thursday, Rich
