Maury Morris Profile

Born in Bessemer, Alabama (suburb of Birmingham). An avid lover of a cappella Quartet music from a young age. Influenced by The Breath of Life Quartet and The Heralds Quartet.
Started singing in my first Quartet (The Heavenly Echoes) at the age of 14, with my brother and two best friends.

Moved to Queens, NY after high school. Sang in numerous groups there, such as; “The Angelic Host” (mixed ensemble), and “New Testament Quartet.”

After moving to Atlanta, Ga in 1994, I sang in various Quartets called “Nexus” from 1997-2004. Joined “4 HOPE” in 2004-2016.

In 2017, I formed a Quartet named “4 A Glimpse”, whose sole desire is to show the character of Jesus, in our ministry.

In 2009, I was introduced to singing Barbershop harmony and joined the Marietta Chapter (also known as The Big Chicken Chorus) of The Barbershop Harmony Society.

In 2010, Sang in my first Barbershop Quartet (Diverse City) and competed at the Dixie District Convention and Contest, finishing 8th overall.

Currently, I’m the Lead singer in Quadraphonics Barbershop Quartet, and during the Dixie District’s Fall Convention and Contest, we qualified for the Midwinter International Contest, which is being held in January 2024, New York City.

In 2019, I started sing with A.R.M.D Vasilios, a Contemporary Gospel Quartet. Most recently, had the privilege of singing at Dollywood for six weeks, during their “Harvest Festival.”

My passion is to spread the Gospel of Jesus, through Music, and being used as an instrument, drawing souls to His Kingdom!!! My favorite Bible verse: Hebrews 11:8. " By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
