Script For Thursday's Meeting |
7:00 PM - Meeting at Ponders.
What an enjoyable evening of Quartet competition we enjoyed at our last rehearsal. It seemed that everyone participated and had a grand time. Our fearless leader was home with an illness and was missed. The Judges did a fine job determining the winners. A nice reminder that we are a society for the encouragement of quartet singing!
Let’s be working on our new Gospel song and have it ready to go on the 25th! Until next time,
For future planning, we will not meet on Thursday, July 4th. KTWWS! Steve Grubb
Thank you for your work already on Gospel Medley. Last Thursday you should have worked on section one. (The How Great Thou Art section through measure 18). This Thursday we will ADD to that the next section I Can Tell You The Time, pick up to measure 19 thru measure 36. Feel free to work ahead!
I do plan to see you next week. We'll polish up the songs for our May 23rd Spring Family and Friends concert! Jimmy Tompkins
What a night! Once again the chorus entertained one another with an outstanding contest night. The outstanding panel of distinguished judges decided that the best sounding q’tet was “Twilight” (Jesse, Morris, Jones, Wilson), the best performance was turned in by ”Baby Faces” (Malone, Randolf, Grubb, Adams); and the funniest was “Coffin and Sing In” (Wilson (also again!), McKeel, Wright, Adams (again!)). Honarable mention went to “Hide and Peek” (Whitmire, Peek, Strickland, Malone).
A big thank you for all who participated in the spirit of fun that epitomizes our hobby. Bill Slack
