We are down to the wire with our Valentines efforts for 2022! Many have worked very hard to make this a great success and deserve our thanks. Trust all those out front singing will do a fine job representing our Chorus and craft!
One point of information for the Membership. Jerry Wright resigned his nomination as Member at Large due to responsibilities elsewhere. Fred Jesse stepped into his position and was sworn in at the Awards Banquet. Should anyone take exception to the situation, let me or Bill Slack know. We weren’t packing the Court, just filling a vacant slot.
The format for rehearsals has been tweaked a bit lately. We need and want your input concerning this. Talk to a member of the Board if you have concerns and we will discuss them and make adjustments as warranted. This is your Chapter; we merely serve at your pleasure and recommendations. Until next week, KTTWS! SteveG
Ok! No rehearsal at all March 3 (some of us will be at Ringgold High), but March 10 is a fun nite! No standing on risers! No riser discipline at all! Jokes are encouraged!
I planning a q’tet contest of polecats, with prizes to be awarded. We will need honest, sober, unbiased judges, so if you don’t care to be in the contest, I will need you to volunteer to be a judge. Registered q’tet are not allowed to compete, but the members can if with 3 others guys.
My plan is to conclude the meeting with some of the old repertory/contest songs, so newer guys can hear them, and old guys can see how much we remember (ride the railroad to nite, I love a Jolson song). If there is a special one you want to hear, let me know. Slack
