Daniel Randolph Continued |
When Daniel graduated in 2006, he spent a year at Lee University and began singing with the Cleveland Scream Machine. Brandon and Chad Guyton were leading the group and developing the high quality sound that Cleveland is still known for today. Bob Mills drove down from Murphy to sing with Cleveland during this time.
After spending a year at Lee, Daniel decided that the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was a better fit. He also insisted on working through college. As a result his time as a Barbershopper was less than he wished. Daniel graduated with a B.S. in Secondary English Education in 2010. The following Spring, Daniel sang with Cleveland at Internationals in Las Vegas. He taught English as a Second Language and Special Education in Hamilton and Walker Counties for nine years. During this time, Daniel sang with the Christmas Chorus many times. He always intended to stay and sing more, but teaching always seemed to demand very long hours.
Daniel met Amber in 2016. He ordered her a Singing Valentine and somehow won her heart. They married in September of 2017 and invited the Chattanooguys to come and sing. Amber and Daniel have travelled to central America, Iceland, Rome, Spain, London, Norway, and many others. The world is more amazing together. Amber supported Daniel through two difficult teaching positions before Daniel realized that it was time to strike out on his own.
Daniel has always had a passion for fixing things. He took his first 1099 job setting up computers at Chattanooga Middle School at 17. He has dabbled as an arborist, landscaper, and painter ever since he was able. After buying a house in 2014, he began taking on bigger and bigger home improvement projects. He began laying flooring for others and built ramps, all the while building a successful small business based on the happy people that he was able to help.
Daniel is proud to have rejoined the Choo Choo Chorus in 2022. Music can be life changing. Throughout many of life's changes, music makes life more brilliant and precious. Daniel Is happy to have encouraged Seth Jackson, his cousin, to sing barbershop. It is a privilege and an honor to make music with all of you.
