David Lawrence Rack, 78, died peacefully on August 13, 2021 surrounded by his beloved children. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he will be remembered for his strength, courage, and unconditional love to his family.
David was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served his country in the Vietnam War. David retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after thirty years as a Special Agent, followed by ten years as an investigator for Unum Insurance.
He enjoyed his retirement years with his wife Sondra, spoiling his grandchildren, singing in the Choo Choo Chorus, and cooking large meals for his family. Some of the happiest times were in recent

With the rise of cases from the the Delta variant impacting the area, the Board has determined that we will use Zoom only for our weekly meetings the last two weeks of August. We hope to resume face to face gatherings September 2nd. Also, we have agreed to purchase a new Website administrator for the Chorus. It should meet every need imaginable for us. David Murphree will demo the site via Zoom one of these two weeks while we distance from each other. Our Friends & Family night (September 26th) and Christmas Show (December 4th) are still on the docket at present. “ See” y’all Thursday via Zoom! Until then, KTTWS. SteveG

David is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Sondra and survived by his siblings, James Rack, Laurie Rack, and Geoffrey Rack; his children, Marie (Kyle) Stone, Rachael (Dan) Szymanski, Matthew (Sheri Goulart) Rack, Sarah (Zach) Moody, and Anna (David) Roberts; his grandchildren, David Stone, Lauren Stone, Zander Moody, Olivia Moody, Beth Szymanski, Gabby Szymanski, Sam Rack, Liam Roberts, and Savannah Roberts. Due to COVID-19, the family will hold a private service followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Drive Chattanooga, TN 37416.
